GREAT PLTW RECRUITING VIDEO
We are very excited to debut our newest video project. The below video is a wonderful example of how PLTW programs can truly work in any high school.Toppenish High School is home to approximately 800 students and is physically located 30 minutes southeast of Yakima, WA. With a demographic makeup of 95% minority and nearly 100% free and reduced lunch, the students have succeeded despite their obstacles. Since implementing PLTW in 2010, Toppenish High School has seen tremendous success with both Pathway To Engineering and the Biomedical Sciences Program. Today, over 50% of the students are enrolled in PLTW classes, 48% of those female. Enrollment in high-level math and science classes has skyrocketed, including a 226% increase in pre-calculus enrollment since 2010.
